Re: Target practice is scaring the "urbanites"

"It's not so much a safety issue. It's a social conflict issue," said Frank Jenks, a natural resource specialist with Interior's Bureau of Land Management, which oversees 245 million acres.

Re: Can't I shoot on my own property?

I have seen similar questions to yours posted on this forum in the past (although they generally involve "plinking" and not firing to protect yourself from a neighbor's dog). Recommend running a search of forum topics/text to see if any useful information might already be out there. Having...

Re: Gun safety classes in elementary schools

Beyond what you mention above, what in H E double toothpicks do the political assassinations of MLK Jr, JFK and Lincoln have to do with GUN SAFETY for elementary students? I mean other than to show "guns are bad". There is no balance there . How about some examples of people who died who ...

Re: Gun Club near Fredericksburg OPEN HOUSE 10 September 2011

I am working on getting my rifle (long, LONG overdue) and will definitely be checking this club out in the near future.

In the meantime, does anyone have some photos to share? Are the pistol shooters active out there and what kind of firing line(s) are we talking about?

WTF has happen to today's kids, my goodness no idea how to have fun. We used to go down to the creek and play war with spring powered bb guns with proper protection of course (they may sting and not penetrate but they can put your eye out). *shakes head* Dang whipper snappers! :wheelchair: BB gun w...

I was hunkered down all day Saturday and missed their grand opening.

Probably a good thing because I have a hard time keeping my money in my pocket when surrounded by so much pretty hardware.

Re: One reporter in IL has it right

The comment by Jack Burton after the article is too funny for words. It was obviously written tongue-in-cheek but I wonder how many people in Illinois will see the humor, the logic, or the point made. Jack Burton's response was pure brilliance and, like you, I am wondering if his sense of hu...

Re: SSG Tactical is open for business

They were still setting up shop when I paid a visit last week but things appear to be coming along nicely. For such a small store I was impressed with their selection of firearms. The yellow lab greeting me at the door was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. I spent several minutes shooting ...

They fell a couple of weeks behind their original date to open their doors but it looks like the SSG Tactical brick and mortar shop is operational.

Not in Fredericksburg! Nooooo!

Lesson to be learned here: Cats are evil masterminds.

Phone records would no doubt indicate that their pet, bitter over losing a tastey treat, called in an anonymous tip to the federal wildlife folks leading to the confrontation at Lowes.

God could descend from heaven, hand me a firearm, declare in a loud booming voice that it is clear and I would still check to make sure there was no round in the chamber.
