Re: SKS or AK?
I have owned both, and when a time came to sell something to raise some quick cash the SKS went. Not that it was a bad rifle, mine was an early Chinese model, very well built, accurate and reliable. It just seemed that for what I wanted, the AK fit the bill a little better. It was shorter, lighter, ...

Re: Fight With The Wife
I was talking with my brother the newlywed the other day. I says to him "how's married life, how's that wife of yours?" He replies, "oh wonderful, she's an angel". Oh aren't you the lucky one. Mine's still alive! Jokes, jokes, just jokes everyone. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] ...

Re: Free Float my 700 SPS
I like free floating barrels even if the gun doesn't get shot a lot. Whether its true or not, I believe in the idea that a free floating barrel will vibrate or move the same every time its fired, where a barrel that's touching some part of the stock may bounce off of the point of contact. I have two...

Re: My first Piston Rifle arrived!
Nice, I like the look of the full length hand guards, and I guess it gives you almost the same sight radius as a 20" barrel. You've definitely got a good one there.

Re: ZOMBIE'S!! What if? What would you bring/set up to prepare??
Wide Fat, I'm with you, I am too old to be into this zombie stuff, but I can't get enough of it. As far as zombie killing, I've always thought it would be best to round them up or bait them into an area where they could be slaughtered en masse by something like a bush hog or one of those flails they...
Re: Kahr CM9
Glad to hear you enjoy the CM9, I am debating picking one up as a carry gun myself. Did you buy it new? If so did it need seem like it needed some break in, or was it good to go right out of the box. Also how's the recoil ? One of the things I really like about it is the size, but I wonder if maybe ...

Anyone get into the showplace today?
I went to the show today and didn't even pull into the parking lot. Unbelievable, and it was the same story a month ago at the raceway show. When I started seeing gun related TV shows and hearing that gun sales were on the rise I thought cool finally the hobby I enjoy, that is often maligned, is bec...

Re: New Mini-14 or AR-15?
I'd say get yourself that mini. If you could only have one I'd probably say stick with the AR, but since you already have one/several, a mini makes sense. I own both, (technically the mini belongs to the MRS.) and enjoy it and shoot it just as well as I can shoot my AR. Mine being an older model had...

New guy saying hello.
Hello, I just joined this forum and thought I would start by saying hello to all. Like many of you I am a collector and shooter, and am interested in just about anything that goes bang. My collection ranges from old to new, handguns, shotguns and rifles, flintlock to AR. I live in central Virginia a...
