The new S&W Governor and media marketing
Just a little note about the new issue of Combat Handguns that features the new S&W Governor on the cover. If you aren't aware of this gun here's a link: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Category4_750001_750051_768152_-1_757992_757992_image I find it interesting that the art...

The editing (the real issue of the allegation) could be construed as defamation of character; which did have a direct economic impact on her; she lost her job and suffered loss of reputation. The fact her employer jumped the gun is notwithstanding; the "liberal media" (who you think would...

Re: House Extends Patriot Act
Nothing to see here.
As long as you are innocent you have nothing to worry about.......riiight.
Leaving aside the civili liberties issue, the patriot act also mandates certain spending requirements.. Another boondoggle for the defense industries....

I held the Wilson double stack at the range and absolutely loved the feel. I'm 6'3" so the width is not a problem. I kinda like the feel of an all steel gun. I'm rapidly becoming a hater of polymer. Plastic-y, toy crap. hahaha

Re: One in the chamber?
I love my sig p230 for the decock lever. My ritual at the range is: load mag, cock and feed first round, immediately use the decock lever (this puts the hammer half way down, not resting on the pin; a brillant design), holster weapon Then I practice my draw fire. First shot is 1 1/2 action, so to sp...

http://www.para-usa.com/new/product_pistol_large.php?id=84 I really like the double stack and the rail. I know it's not really a "1911" if it has a rail and a double stack, but I really think it's nice. I have huge hands and held a double stack Wilson and it called to me.... http://www.spr...

Re: Question on Legality
Thanks, for the advice. Looking forward to snaking it and cleaning the heck out of it and lubing it. Going to replace the main spring and the recoil spring, since I have those as well. Will post another thread about the cleaning/oil products I got, because I just bought a bunch without really knowin...

Question on Legality
I have a p230 that was given to me from an uncle years ago (about 10yrs. actually). He had the gun in Florida, but I've had it ever since in NY and now VA. When I had it in NY, it was a dust collector with no mag. I recently got into using this thing and have since cleaned it and got a factory mag. ...

Recently cleaned and got a mag for a Sig Sauer p230 that my uncle gave me about 10 years ago. Been to Sharpshooters twice and I'm hooked. Just stocked up on ammo (3 types of 380 ACP) and a factory mag and spring rebuild kit. Also got the Hogue Grips. Thinking about a Five seveN Nice to meet you all,...
