heres one worth trying to explain to the people. A man went to jail for defending his home. Apparently its better to be a victim than to fight back.

Re: Al Qaeda hits the gun shows
Well if the Muslims can go get automatic weapons from gun shows without paperwork or a background check, then all Christians, Catholics and Jews should too! Hell, might as well throw an Atheist in the mix too! Personally, I think the Amish would be the ones to watch out for! http://www.andrewtonnph...

Re: Which branch of the armed Forces has the toughest training?
i never really understood what all the hub bub over who had the toughtest basic training was about. when i was in, BMT was only 6 and a half weeks. tech school was far worse mentally and physically i thought. and besides, once you got out of both, it was just like a reg job... i felt like the dunkin...

when i was in school for electronics, we built a computer and it would save information to a cassette tape. and you could also take it from the tape, play it back and reload it onto the flash.

to repeal the 1934 NFA? also, do people really fear "machine guns" so much that its the reason no politician has overturned it? i was looking up NFA rifles earlier, and its not the 200 dollar tax thats so bad, but the cost of the actual firearm. couldnt this be seen as an infringement of t...

Re: not sure about this issue
what will really burn you is 1. the reason and 2. what one of the mothers had to say. for those who dont know the story, here in Lynchburg an elderly man was beat to death downtown by two black teenagers. i think they were 16, and the reason they punched this particular man, who was here on a trip t...

now, i'm not condoning what he did for the reasoning, but to me this brings up a question. didnt the Founders include the 2A just for the purpose of the citizens to stop the govt? so then the question becomes.. how far are we as a ppl prepared to go before we do come out shooting?

Re: not sure about this issue
reason i asked these questions is what use is there in carrying a gun if you cant use for fear of excessive rules the govt has in place? i wish there were an easy answer for all of them, but i would suspect that anyone except the thugs in this case woudl be found guilty. that is a problem to me..the...

not sure about this issue
there was a news story a few months back here in Lynchburg where an elderly man not from this area was killed by two juveniles downtown. There has been some debate about if this individual had a gun on him at the time, could he have used it legally. The other question i have, say a passerby saw this...

this is a highly sensitive topic, and unfortunately...i'm sure my viewpoints wont be liked, nor are they reasonable according to society in general. and this is where the disconnect exists...how do we fix the current system of giving money to those without? the issue is the answers are not what ppl ...

Re: Taurus CIA .357 revolver question
my very first gun was a taurus 650, CIA model. i had it for about 6 months, sold it.I didnt like it because it was not trust worthy. sometimes you pull the trigger and it would go boom, others.. it wouldnt. i tried taking the rounds that didnt go boom, and put them in my ruger...they went boom then,...

i would hope that after all these years Frank, we can discuss something like this openly and intelligently. there doesnt have to be any name calling, i believe that every person on this board will tell you slavery was wrong. and i also think that arguing about the war's causes is a good thing. i was...

Re: SPlit topic, questions about the Confederacy
this is for yarddawg, the issue of the War being about states rights can be proven wrong by the act of Nullification. Nullification said basically if a state disagreed with a federal law, it would just ignore it. That is purely a states rights issue but that still did not stop the war from happenein...

Re: SPlit topic, questions about the Confederacy
wow, lots of good info from Wylde for sure. however, i felt the need to offer my 2 cents in about just a few items. First off, the civil war was about slavery, nothing else. for those who say it was about states rights, that can easily be proven as the wrong answer by the fact of nullification befor...
