in light of the AZ shooting, now we have some lady from NY who is going to try and introduce new gun laws that call for more regulations.

I guess this will be a test for our representatives. Cave on this and we'll have to work to get them out...don't care who they are either.

Crazy person has a gun. Take away the gun, you still have a crazy person. If the crazy person never had a gun, they are still crazy.

Also, did you see that little extra bomb in there?

"Pennsylvania Rep. Robert Brady, a Democrat from Philadelphia, told CNN that he also plans to take legislative action. He will introduce a bill that would make it a crime for anyone to use language or symbols that could be seen as threatening or violent against a federal official, including a member of Congress."

McCarthy is the East Coasts equivelant to Feinstein from California.... Always has been an anti and a real live practicing ass with lips that can talk..... Should be a real treat to see just how twisted she attempts in this bell of hers,,As far as the threatening or whatever nonsense, it's our First Amendment right to say any damn thing we want ,,,,We can;t allow these jerkoffs to elevate themselves to a state of immunity from comments from opposing views or whoever,,, Wonder if this qualifies...Image

Maybe if someone on that commuter train would have been allowed to carry and defend themselves the massacre would not have occurred. Crazy people will find a way to kill. Taking away options for self defense will only make it worse.

Right, but if they cave and some draconian measure gets passed it will be too late at the next election. Always far harder to repeal something once it becomes law. This is a primary reason I'm saying we the people need an immediate and no kidding way to deal with officials violating the Constitution or that are corrupt. We are essentially at their mercy when it comes to passing dumb laws or any law. The only recourse we have now that yields tangible results is the ballot box...and that is a crap shoot.

So now, because some twit shoots Congresswoman Giffords we the people are suffering with threats of attack on both our 1st and 2nd Amendments. And now, if congress moves to do something to limit either right and the people respond with massive protests like before...guess what...no doubt law enforcement and the government will make sure any such gatherings are strictly controlled.

Bottom line is this is a situation that could put our first 2 rights in a real bind...and oddly enough most "officials" are attacking the 1st not the 2nd.
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Politically revolting citizens like the Tea Party are a threat to the establishment...doesn't matter which party. They want to use this to paint anyone not inline with traditional D or R polices as extremest who need to be silenced.

Doing so would allow them to further promote their air of self importance and legend in their own mind status... Last thing we need is a walking ego that is exempt from comment because of office.

Quote from commenter "goldwriting" on the politico article.
As for the specific automatic type of weapon this particular assailant used in Arizona, yes, I agree those should not be available for consumer purchase. There realistically is no reason for ordinary citizens to carry them.
Hmmm, according to the article the shooter was using a Glock 19. Not sure about the rest of you Glock 19 owners out there, but mine sure isn't fully automatic. Where can I get myself one of those fully automatic evil black Glock 19s????

And wait a minute isn't McCarthy the one that tried explaining what a Barrel shroud is?? Queue the tape:

Queue McCarthy In 3... 2... 1...

I believe it is a shoulder thing that goes up.

Scary that it is people like this that try to regulate what they don't understand.

She is one of those self appointed saviors that's nothing more than a walking butthole with lips and can talk... In her mind she's doing God or someone elses` freaking bidding... Like Harry Reid and a score of others needs she to retire or be retired and let the adults start running the country again..

Good grief. I could honestly understand sponsoring legislation where you actually know what you're talking about but this is ridiculous. Thought I'd never say this in a bazillion years but kudos to the MSNBC reporter for calling her on it...

Hey, whatever it amounts to -- we'll know whats in it after it passes...twit morons...

I think everyone should watch the youtube video from the main thread about the shooting. Its from the girl's Dad. Rough stuff, but worthy of all of our time.
