Re: Need a shop that carries hard to find ammo

Hey I'm looking for the same thing. Google 7.7 jap. Sportsmansguide has hornady for $25. I remember when sports authority carried it. Them were the days.

Are you talking about a M&P 9mm or a Ruger MP9?

Re: WTB New Carry Gun

Out of curiosity, why have you ruled out single stack autos but you are considering revolvers? The only reason I would get a revolver is they are the ultimate balance in reliability and concealability. The biggest reason to go with an auto is more rounds. So if I have a choice between a 5 round .38...

Re: WTB New Carry Gun

That's what I'd really like. Though, its not like I'd be settling if I got something else. I'll shoot anything. Comparing most of these guns today is like comparing Snap-on to Matco.

Re: .45 for C/C?

Getting back to the original question, have you checked out the glock 30? I have steered away from Glocks since I held my first one. I just never liked the grip angle (naturally aimed high). But I held a G30 subcompact today and it felt GREAT in my hand. I guess there was nothing for my fat palm to ...

WTB New Carry Gun

I'm looking for an everyday carry gun. Something in 9mm or .38special (maybe 40s&w) so my wife can shoot it too. No full sized (M1911, M9). I don't want to go over 25oz. I have my eye on a few models: Glock 26, 27 Ruger SR9c S&W J frame or M&P compact Sig 2022 So, small is the theme here...

Re: Newport News area gunshops?

I'm of the mindset that an hours drive is worth it when your spending a couple hundred bucks. So Gloucester or Richmond isn't out of the question.

Re: Newport News area gunshops?

I'll check them out. I don't know if or when it's open, but there is a pistol range on Ft. Eustis. I hope its a good one.

I think there's a guy in downtown Newport News on the corner of Chestnut and MLK way that deals in RPG's and crack....

Re: Baretta 92FS

Personally I love the M9. I've spent 12 years with it and found it very natural. Before shooting the M9 the only pistols I ever shot was a .22LR revolver and a Buckmark. With just a little time with the M9 I felt like I could hit whatever I wanted. We used to run ranges where we put a random M9 on e...

New to VA, coming from Hawaii

We've lived in Hawaii for the last 12 years and are now moving to Ft. Eustis. We're looking forward to seeing VA. This was the 6th site to pop up when I googled "gun forums" so that says something about VA being a gun friendly state. That'll be a BIG change from HI. I'm also into hot rods,...
