Re: 3 Carrier ships
That F/A-37 looks like something straight out of Star Wars. It was a 2005 movie, "Stealth" and the female pilot is Jessica Biel. The Kitty Hawk has been retired since 2009. the Enterprise was decommissioned a few years ago and at this point there are 10 active carriers, all nuclear powere...

As long as you get them here safely you should have no problems. Just beware some states can be real unfriendly on the transportation aspect. I know for certain you don't want to set foot in Maryland with your collection. They are @$$es looking for a place to $h!t.

Re: How to Extend Stock on AR?
The buffer tube is a fixed, specific length for proper auto-loading performance. You are not going to get a longer length of pull on an adjustable stock. You would need to switch to a fixed length stock. Even then, it will only be a little less than 2" longer and you pick up a lot of weight. F...

Re: help with an ithica 1911
First site I tried: http://www.coolgunsite.com/pistols/colt%20production.htm By their numbers, it is a 1945 pistol. By my own knowledge the vast majority of gov't issue 1911s were manufactured prior to the end of 1945. Most of the pistols with 6 digit serial numbers and marked 1911s were manufacture...

Yeah that officer who took a bullet to the K pot in Orlando would be real happy if the program were shut down. His family would be overjoyed too.Mindflayer wrote:We have the military to law enforcement program to take care of that.

And that is why due process is so important in this country. If your PTSD is bad enough that you've been adjudicated mentally defective then you do need to be prohibited from gun ownership. As you've pointed out though, too many people avoid getting the help they need in fear of some politician's d...

Not to throw water on the "Dance of Joy" about Katie Couric, but I doubt she had anything to do with the editing. She is just the face of the talks. Hopefully it will bag some of the bigger behind the scenes fish involved in the process.

Re: Congress considers banning Swatting.
I agree, 30 to 45 days and make it not suspendable would be great, 20 years seems excessive unless there is a fatality/ injury.Reverenddel wrote:Personally? I think jail time for false-SWATting would be a GREAT idea!
Until you put some "teeth" into a law, people ignore it.

Re: Congress considers banning Swatting.
I initially thought it would best be best left to the states, but perhaps federal legislation would be in order involving cases that crossed state lines. For example gamers in Florida getting somebody in Tennessee swatted. 20 years sounds excessive, unless somebody is injured, then treat it similar ...

I don't disagree. I am protesting from both sides. My problem is that if it was stress related... perception from his viewpoint, etc., and not an issue of intent, then he should be let go. If they thought he was guilty of a crime, they would have never cut a deal for a year. Yeah...neither conditio...

Re: Virginia Democrats trying to starve Southwest Virginians?
I likely would have punched this dude in the mouth if he said this in front of me. There is some truth in his words. Virginia's Republican party went O for 3 in commonwealth wide elections during a period where the national statehouse pendulum was swinging to the right. I tend to agree that the lac...

Re: So, how did this ND happen?
You are not wrong. It takes a smart person to recognize the fact they are a danger to themselves and others unless they have multiple safeties on their gun. Maybe carrying it unloaded or at least with nothing in the chamber would be even safer. While some people can benefit from training but there ...

There is nothing to be jealous of. You are used to 1911s, that Beretta was as big as a 1911 and wider in the grip. For something that was adopted with one of the reasons being easier for women to use it missed the mark. It does fire 9MM, which made us common with the rest of NATO. The safety/decocke...

Up close there can be things in the line of sight/line of fire that you can't see in the scope. Just like you can't see the front sight base on an AR15 (I have 3X9's on two 20" flat tops and a 4X on a 16" carbine and can't see the front sight base on any of them). The lack of seeing the f...

Right? Its mind blowing to think about it. They said it was like trying to hit the top of a pencil point at 100 yards as far as what you can see. If you're uneasy with it carry a revolver, then there is no accidentally pulling the hammer or squeezing the trigger. `You must mean a a single action revolver, because there is little difference between putting a double action revolver and a double action only or most non safety equipped striker f...
