Re: CCP for purchasing a firearm in VA?
Okay great, thanks! I have used my VA registration card before, but i was just curious if a CCP was acceptable too since i have that on me ALL the time, and not always my voter card. You never know when you'll come across a good deal! [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://vagunforum.net/images/mobi...

CCP for purchasing a firearm in VA?
I am wondering if my concealed carry permit would suffice as a 2nd form of ID for purchasing a firearm in VA?
Thanks

Re: Clark Brothers
I've been to a couple ranges, and Clark Bros is right down the street from me, but I've never been.. I've heard mixed reviews, they don't let you bring your own ammo, MUST buy theirs. Other than that, I've heard most positive reviews on the overall experience.

Re: Colonial Shooting Academy coming to VA Beach!
This range is wicked! Pretty good gun selection, 4 ranges with 8-10 lanes each. Awesome staff and sweet guns to rent. If you purchase a firearm from them, they give you a free hour of range time. Pretty sweet deal

Re: Elite shooting in Gainesville
Elite Shooting Sports is pretty awesome. The staff is nice and knowledgeable. The day I went it was not crowded at all and the guy at the counter told us we could basically stay in our lane as long as we wanted, even though we only paid for an hour. Nice facility, nice ranges, good people.

Oh, and the range cards are good for life. When I went to Colonial Shooting Academy in VB (which is also super nice) their range cards are only good for a year.

Re: New Indoor Range in Manassas?
Elite Shooting Sports is pretty rad!! 20 bucks for an hour. 10 for any additional person in a lane, up to 3 people can share a lane. The 100 yd range is nice too, has cameras and a monitor in each lane so you can see your target without having to bring it in after every shot.

Re: Signs go up in Manassas Mall
This is ridiculous. Banning law-abiding citizens from carrying does not stop those who break the law from doing so. Taking protection away from the responsible ones so we are left defenseless when something happens. (I know I'm preaching to the choir, but damn)

Re: Glove box carry without CHP?
I should have prefaced my last question with that I am going to apply for my CCP, but until I have the physical permit in my possession, am I okay to store the firearm in my glovebox?

Glove box carry without CHP?
Does the law state that it is permitted to secure a firearm in your glove box without a CCP? I have heard differing opinions on this.

Re: New to Virginia, Trying to obtain CCW
I took an online course, took the test and printed out my certificate of completion. Have not taken to the courthouse yet, as I am waiting on my change of address paperwork, but it was a super simple process up to that point.

I love my LCP. Easy to carry, shoots nice, especially after the 13# recoil spring upgrade and Sweet Pea Trigger
