Re: personal property tax
BTW, NJ is sort of a weird state when it comes to gas stations. The gas prices are lower than they are here, yet all stations have to be FULL service? The first time I bought gas in NJ, I got out of my car and started operating the pump. The guy at the station wasn't happy with me, but I didn't kno...

Re: personal property tax
But when I moved to VA inn 1991, the thing that annoyed me the most about owning a car here was the annual safety inspection. CA did not have this, and a lot of states do not. The VA inspection does very little to improve safety. The great majority of accidents nowadays are caused by inattentive, i...

personal property tax
after moving here last year, i was astonished when i received a bill for the personal property tax. i never heard of it until then. i know what it is....theyre essentially taxing you on the cars/equipment that you already own. my question is this: for all the freedom loving, gun carrying patriots i ...

Re: anyone have experience transporting through MD?
dont get pulled over, and if you do, for whatever reason, NEVER consent to a search. period. you have absolutely no duty or reason to blurt out 'IM TRANSPORTING A PISTOL' if youre getting a speeding ticket. there is a very small chance youll get hassled. that being said, when i was traveling to VA f...

i knew some of those pics looked familiar. i remember reading back in 08-09 about cars being stored on test tracks. but obviously that was 5+ years ago. things have changed since then, and the entire article is wrong.

im in the early stages of buying a house with 50ac in very SE suffolk, half a mile from NC. it was the only place with more then 5ac, and only place that didnt have neighbors literately a stones throw away. i was amazed at how many places were advertised as 'wooded, secluded, etc', yet you can see h...

not that anyone outside of the police state cares, but michael patrick carroll is one of the only people in office without his head planted firmly up his ass. hes been the strongest supporter of the 2A in the police state for years, believes in absolutely no compromise to the communist gun-grabbers,...

I see what you're saying, I'm just wondering if by the wording, if he starts off at his residence then he is technically beginning the transport of the firearm from a place that he can legally possess and carry the firearm since you don't need a NJ permit to carry in your residence or own property....

Re: driving to VA from NJ route?
I drive between VA and NJ frequently, in my opinion your best bet is to start off in NJ with the weapon unloaded and locked with no ammo in the car, in the trunk, then make a pit stop at the closest walmart as soon as you cross in to VA to buy ammo and load up. Unless you feel like stopping in Dela...

that odessa is in delaware. i dont see how that route could possibly be worse the skirting the dc/maryland metro area on I95. delaware IS a carry state, and my permits are valid in delaware. we've all heard the story of the florida guy hassled in maryland just because it came up he had a carry permi...

driving to VA from NJ route?
next week ill be driving from the police state of nj to suffolk va. i originally planned on going through delaware, across the chesapeake bridge, and so forth, specifically to avoid going around dc and the busy part of maryland. i will be bringing a pistol with me to carry while in VA. after hearing...
