Re: Time to nullify?
That would be a good start. Then contrast the effects with other states (like New York) who bend over for every Federal edict. "Oh, you don't want to give us our Federal Highway money back? Then I guess our citizens don't need to pay Federal income taxes. We'll just hang onto that money."...

Re: Time to nullify?
Strangely, Again... I agree with Kreutz. Friggin' bureaucrats are addicted to "Fed Money" like a fat kid loves french fries. The problem is, the Fed has no money except what they take from the states or the people by threat of force. If more state level representatives could be made to un...

Re: Best friend has a new toy
Cool new toy. Do they make one that takes 1911 magazines? David Yes, they do. But it's hard to find 1911 magazines that hold 20+ rounds. Glock has 'em. I'm more interested in a pistol caliber carbine for plinking. Anyway, until I move out from behind the iron curtain of New York, seven rounds is al...

Re: Judge Jeanine: Why do we look to excuse evil?
I hate to say this, but when Jeanine Pirro was DA of Westchester County, New York, she wasn't all that friendly to firearm owners. Even though she has a pistol license.
Could she have realized the importance of civil rights for all? Sure, but I wouldn't be nominating her for president, yet.

Re: Freedom-loving Americans - Weigh in on this
What law abiding, consenting adults partake in should be between them and other law abiding, consenting adults. Restricting or banning something because children may be exposed to it, illegally by the way, smacks too much of the "It's for the children" argument the gun ban groups use. If p...

Re: My first milsurp!
Nice first stop on the milsurp train. Now, get your information in order with the CMP (http://www.odcmp.com) and order your first Garand. Also browse sites like AIM Surplus (http://aimsurplus.com) for more ideas and supplies.
Enjoy.

Geek time. Top center, they have the Model 17 listed as a semi-automatic rifle. That was the only error I noticed, there may be more.
Nice poster though.

Re: VA-ALERT: CORRECTION on VCDL-PAC donations
I just donated $50 to the PAC. I still work with and donate to the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, but New York is pretty much a lost cause for unpopular civil rights. Virginia can still be saved. Everyone on this and every other pro-gun website needs to donate to this PAC ASAP. I would...

Re: NY state troopers hesitant to enforce new gun laws
The counterpoint to that is the City of Albany NY Police Union writing a scathing four-page letter to Governor Cuomo regarding the safe act. The letter concerned the SAFE Act's unconstitutionality, negligible effect on crime, and criminalizing of the law abiding.. They wrote the letter after active ...

Re: NY state troopers hesitant to enforce new gun laws
I spoke to some NY State Troopers earlier this week. Their comment on the new law was that they aren't going to notice any "assault weapons" unless someone "makes them" notice. I'm not entirely sure what that means, but the general feeling was that they didn't want to enforce the...

Re: progress report on our private range project.
I didn't see the original thread, so maybe these questions have already been answered. We are planning to buy property in VA sometime next year. One of my preferences is to have a shooting range on my property. Other than normal safety precautions, are there any governmental hoops to jump through? A...

Re: Reloading progressive press? Hornady? Dillon?
I started with a Lee single stage until I built some reloading experience. After that I did some research and chose the Hornady Lock-N-Load progressive press. Once I got used to the process, I have very few complaints. One is the original cartridge ejection wire. It prevents a die in the fifth stati...

Re: More anti-gun PC hysteria from New York
Wyoming is #36 overall, down 5 places from 2009.
New Hampshire dropped to #4 from #2 in 2009. Partially due to the property taxes mentioned by DryBones.
New York was #50 in the 2009 listing as well.

I follow the "Come-Heres", "Transplants", "Carpetbagger" theory as I have stated: "ComeHere's" want our freedom, culture, and hospitality. They didn't like what was happening, and came to join us. "Transplants" live here long enough to go to college...
