Re: Opinions on the 45-70 and 308 cartridge

Are you hard set on a .308? If it is for fun and just target shooting; get a Mosin Nagant. Price about $100 and can be upgraded easliy. Shoots 7.62x54 and rounds are dirt cheap. You can find 880 rounds for under $200 at Graf and Sons.

Re: Walmart Guns

Purchased a few rifles from them...the 22 LR was about $100 cheaper than Gander Mountain. Found that the 7mm rifle is $250; while the other markets have it over $399. I have found the rifles reliable and have been pleased. I agree the walking to the door is odd; but depending on the staffing of the ...

Re: I hate Ammo profiteers

I was recently out of state and found an abundance of 9mm and 5.56 at regualar prices...catch; you can only get two or three boxes a day. I walked home with a ton of rounds after a four day visit. Funny thing in this state there was a shortage of guns and rifles for these calibers....here in VA the ...

Re: Virginia - Will you surrender you GUN?

I will answer the question - - - NO I WILL NOT SURRENDER THEM. I paid for them and to surrender private property without restituation - - -is a theft on the part of the government. Register them - - NO; the registration in many countries leads to the government taxing the gun owners into giving them...

Re: Virginia - Will you surrender you GUN?

Like I said in the original message - there would be smart remarks. Everyone must think for themselves....when they come and it will happen, you must ask yourself those questions now and prepare for the worst.

So many think this is a game.

Well...hope you all have enought quarters for extra time.

Virginia - Will you surrender you GUN?

I would like to ask - Virginians, will you surrender you Guns? I know there will be smart remarks to this question. I am asking you to think about it before answering; if states like Montana truly support their statements about local law enforcement coming out against supporting Federal Agents enfor...

Looking for Advice on 270 vs 308 calibers

How do the .270 Winchester, .308 Winchester compare in terms of: RECOIL (similar bullet weights in similar weight guns) NOISE/MUZZLE BLAST/FLASH (again, similar loads in similar barrel lengths) OVERALL PERFORMANCE (actually, I have a good idea how they perform, but again, I've never shot them...) I'...

Re: Norquist argues for letting sequestration kick in.

This matter will create a crisis worse than the great depression - it will take less than three months (90 days) to hit critical mass. The federal employees will loose between 25 to 30 % of their monthly pay. These are not the Congressmen or Senators. These are the employees that mop the floors and ...
