. 38 special revolvers in chesterfield,va

I own a. 38 special and I take it with me EVERYWHERE I go. If its not physically on me its in my truck or in my house when I am home. Somebody told my son. 38's are illegal in chesterfield county. I don't live in that county but I do go up there to visit my kids. Does anybody know anything about that being true or not? Cuz if it is true and I can't carry my. 38 with in chesterfield county then i'll go buy me a 9 mm ASAP and carry that when I go up there. My ex-husband used to beat me years ago but I never owned a gun back then, but I have one now since I left him and got my divorce. I don't trust him anywhere near me after all his threats. I always have somebody else with me when I visit kids so they are witness to anything he says and does. But I would reaaly appreciate info on this. I also have a shotgun but she usually stays in gun rack at home on farm. Might buy gun holder for behind my seats in truck and start toting that around too! Heeheehee!

No cities or counties in Virginia have restrictions on any handgun by caliber. As long as you have a concealed handgun permit (CHP), you can carry any handgun regardless of it's caliber.

I would strongly recommend that you consider attending a firearm training class, if you have not done so already.
