1. Roanoke County trying to sneak in some gun control

I have been sitting on an item from Roanoke County, where they have been trying to sneak a ban on firearms discharge through their Board of Supervisors. I'm waiting because the date we need to turn out is in flux. I should have the final word before tomorrow night and I will get an alert out (with
details on the issue) as soon as I hear.

For now, if you are in Roanoke County, please stand by.

2. Gun show coordinators needed!
**************************************************

We are looking for two volunteers to take over as gun show coordinator in Norfolk and in Northern VA. Ed Burton has stepped down as coordinator in Norfolk, and Sam Childress will be stepping down as coordinator of the Dale City show. VCDL would like to thank them both for their hard work and dedication.

VCDL regional gun show coordinators are responsible for managing volunteers, scheduling and setting up tables at gun shows and other local events, and submitting a report to VCDL leadership after the event. Experience as a VCDL table volunteer is preferred but not required.

3. New Shenandoah coordinators

The Virginia Citizens Defense League would like to welcome John Norton and David Sayen as new coordinators for the Shenandoah region. They will join current coordinator Bob Schmidt in managing the VCDL table at the Harrisonburg and Fishersville gun shows, as well as other local events.

VCDL thanks them, as well as previous coordinator Mike Piper, for donating their time and energy to help spread the word about our organization and gun rights in Virginia.
