The enemy in DC

Post by VBshooter »

Without a doubt this snake is our most deadly enemy in the funland known as DC,,,,This broad is hell bent on screwing every one of us at any cost to push her personal agenda, Hopefully if she shoots that big mouth off the wiser Dems will tell her to shut up!! IANAL but it seems to me that after the Heller Decision ,An assault weapons ban would be unconstitutional ,, The consensus seems to be now that the 2nd amendment only covers the federal government,,That is until the SCOTUS hears the suit brought by the NRA on the Chicago Gun Ban,,, I would be interested in how others see this subject,,,,Remember 2010 aint that far away!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gun Rights and Congress

This morning's online edition of Congressional Quarterly had this story titled Gun Rights Lobby to Weigh in on Sotomayor. The story spent most of its text talking about the current climate in Congress that looks very bleak for increased restrictions. That hasn't changed the plans of those who do seek more restrictions. For instance, Senator Diane Feinstein, who when asked about her "assault weapons ban" renewal:

said she has not ruled out trying to attach the ban to another piece of legislation to get it approved. “I’ll pick my spot,” she said.

Between Feinstein and Pelosi they take the cake for being snakes. Do they even know what the Constitution is I wonder?

They , much like NObama, think of the constitution as an inconvenience on the way to their Grand Utopia of government control.. Thank God we do have it,, It would be a freaking nightmare without it,,,, That's one of the reasons I wonder if the Heller Decision can help stop a ban by the federal government seeing it does say that individuals have the right to own and bear arms,,and any assault weapons ban on the part of the Federal Gov't would be an infringment,,,, Now the other side of that coin is the argument that the 2nd does not extend that protection to the states,,,HHMMMMMM ! It makes ya wonder ,, Fortunately here in VA we don;t have a lot of the BS other states have,,,,,

I was just thinkin... We call this country the United States of America.... are they purposely trying to divide them? If they passed the law saying that states do not have to honor the 2nd amendment, what about all the others? Do they simply get to eliminate only the second or do they get to change any of them as they see fit... The only purpose I could see this bill serving is to divide the USA more so than what it currently is... I'm at a loss as how any of them could see that this bill should be passed.

IMO the only thing stopping them from trying to push a ban through now is fear of public backlash - that is, not getting reelected which I don't think is gonna happen anyway for a lot of Dems next year.

Fear of not being reelected is one issue, another is some Dems realize its better to support than to oppose and don't vote with the status quo,,, Feinstein is a nasty woman who is hell bent to get that ban again, It is her personal agenda, Her , Pelosi and that other Idiot Mcarthy from NY are dangerous,,, I don;t think she is gonna get any real support but ya never know,, The scary thing is if she tries to attach it to another bill that they really want passed,,, Much like the credit card bill, we could all get thrown under the bus and have to wait till election time for the payback...... Hard one to call for sure,

IMO some of the anti-gun legislators may actually believe a ban would make us safer, but I think for most it is indeed a personal agenda. Feinstein and Pelosi are rich. They can hire security. Heck, I bet Pelosi even owns a gun. As a matter of fact I'd bet money she does. What I think most people don't think about is the 2nd Amendment maybe wasn't intended so we could protect ourselves from bad guys or criminals. I think the intent of our founders was to allow the people to be able to protect themselves from tyranny. Go figure.
