NYC awarded a $1 billion contract to build taxis to Nissan. The taxis are to be built in Mexico.
Apparently word of the US unemployment rate hasn't reached Mayor Bloomberg who proudly announced the deal yesterday.

Does this mean that the NLRB will file suit against NYC for purchasing a product made by non-union labor?.
I bet Boeing is pissed.

I bet the kickbacks from that contract are huge,,, Bloomberg is well beyond twit and commie..He has attained Douche Bag and Butthole with honors status. This kind of thing is disgusting coming from an American city but then as mentioned there are palms to cross and the big 3 probably wouldn;t go as deep as Nissan did.

Yes, thanks for correcting me Spence. I long for the day when people like bloomberg, pelosi, soros, etc would have been ashamed to show their true face for fear of it getting covered with tar and feathers. I am both ashamed and ecstatic that we the people tolerate this and other openly vile behavior. On one hand it reveals just how evil some can be and on the other is a sign that things are winding down to the final confrontation...VBshooter wrote:Bloomberg is well beyond twit and commie..He has attained Douche Bag and Butthole with honors status.

I am willing to bet that things get very hotly contested starting soon with groups all jockying for preference by the mutts in office to push their agendas.. I agree on how We the people have let it go to hell in a hand basket..We can only hope to pull it out of the fire before it becomes a very real and painful reality. This country won't survive another 4 years of the current elected piss boys

Agreed that Bloomberg is an idiot, along with the other libtards mentioned. However, just because the Nissan is assembled in Mexico is no indication that the car doesn't have some percentage, perhaps over 50%, of parts made in this country. I'd be willing to bet that the percentage of parts, especially value of parts, manufactured in Mexico is at or close to ZERO. My Chevy HHR was assembled in Mexico but the engine and tranny are U.S. in origin. Likewise, many "American" cars assembled here have a large percentage of foreign parts. Car brand names and where a car is put together don't mean all that much. Even with guns, my Beretta is actually assembled in Maryland, though I'm sure at least some of the parts might be from Italy.

Ideally those jobs never should have gone to Mexico in the first place..Thanks Bill Clinton... Parts being made here is a plus but then sending it out of country to assemble and bring back in is what I object to..
