Virginia man uses samurai sword to rob pharmacy
This story confirms it...we should immediately introduce legislation to ban samurai swords.

Rick, it has to be a ban on all "assault" swords.

I love my sword, but it ceased to be a primary weapon 350 years ago. Its sharp and looks nice on the mantle, thats about it.

Might be time to pick up a sword while I still can!

Yup, just make sure it has a shroud, pistol grip, and is detachable from the scabbard...Jakeiscrazy wrote:Might be time to pick up a sword while I still can!

So knives are the opposite of guns, they ban long ones (in some places) vice short ones like guns. So what is it for swords? Should I get the longest I can find or the ultra shorty?zephyp wrote:Yup, just make sure it has a shroud, pistol grip, and is detachable from the scabbard...Jakeiscrazy wrote:Might be time to pick up a sword while I still can!

Just keep in mind that at less than 3', the sword blade tip speed falls below the minimum FBI recommended standard for penetration of gel blocks and can be considered to be ineffective in a self defense situation.gunderwood wrote:So knives are the opposite of guns, they ban long ones (in some places) vice short ones like guns.
