Wyoming did it!!!
The big sky state of Wyoming has just become a constitutional carry state. The 2nd one in a year to do so....http://networkedblogs.com/f04im

I wish we could get some of that fresh Rocky Mountain air pumped over to the Richmond General Assembly building. Maybe it would help to clear a few stuffy minds.

.
I like Wyoming...
at least their LE know they cannot protect everyone, and be everywhere at all times.
"Constitutional Carry".
Virginia should have it by now. So should D.C.
So should all the States of the Union. Citizens had it when this mighty Nation was built.
VA did have it long ago, then it was restricted..
It came up again this year past, just like "Castle Doctrine", only to be shot down in Sub-Comittee...? (sorry, that was political)
"Castle Doctrine" has been, and allowed, on VA's Lawbooks, since the late 1600's. "They" took that right from us too. The right to Defend yourself, without fear of Reprise...or a Civil Lawsuit.
Your "right" to do this was engrained in the Constitution. The Right to Keep and Bear Arms...that's why we live here.

Too many "progressives" have moved into Northern and Tidewater and poluted the body politick. If we could somehow contrive to give all counties that border the potomac east of about Fauquier County to Maryland or the District of Columbia, we might return to the venerable "Virginia Way". But as it stands, we're sort of like Arizona and California. They've let in too many Mexicans. We've let in too many Federal employees.

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

Does anyone know if this is a true Constitutional carry?
I mean is this for US citizens in WY or just for WY residents?
(I heard the latter but have not proof.)

Don't write all of us off yet. There are many of us up here in the DC suburbs that still believe in the Virginia Way.dorminWS wrote:Too many "progressives" have moved into Northern and Tidewater and poluted the body politick. Correct...it is NOT constitutional carry since it is for residents only.

Yep...its too bad that so many federal employees and even some folks in uniform are progressive and anti gun. Many of the federal agencies downtown are havens for minorities and immigrants. And speaking of minorities, in DoD as a Constitutionalist and pro-gunner I am one...dorminWS wrote:But as it stands, we're sort of like Arizona and California. They've let in too many Mexicans. Well you deserve something for FREE then!! Let's see - what shall we give you to try to make up for your clearly diminished status among your peers... Maybe you should ask for a raise?zephyp wrote:...speaking of minorities, in DoD as a Constitutionalist and pro-gunner I am one...

Re: Wyoming did it!!!
A raise!!! Now that an idea...but wait...according to some twit study by a paper I make 2-4x more than anyone else on the planet...and I can retire with full benefits after just showing up for work (late) once, maybe twice. I dont need a raise...what I need is a beer tap on my desk and access to all the porn sites and a 3 hour lunch break...oh my mistake again...according to the MSM I already have all those too...
