Anyone have any experience with this? It is pretty much a semi-auto 9mm Mac-11 clone... I handled one at a gun-show last December not knowing what it was, and while it is certainly simplistic in appearance, it fit in my hand pretty nicely. (I have large hands though) I am now thinking of getting one just as something that is different but fun, I was just curious if anyone here had shot it or had opinions on it.

Mac-11 Clone?
Re: Mac-11 Clone?
I was at the range and a guy had one. He let me run a mag through it. It's about as good as any Mac-11 would be, a nice fun plinker(I only shot it to 25 YDS) but not the best for accuracy they are pretty much bullet hoses for anything serious. For the money I suppose they would be worth it for novelty if nothing else.
Re: Mac-11 Clone?
Thanks for the reply.
I wasn't really looking for or expecting a tackdriver, just accurate enough to plink with. I am talking like Minute OF Soda Can at 25ish yards, maybe a little more. Is it at least that accurate? I am just looking for something not terribly expensive that is a little different then other stuff out there to plink with.
Now if I could just find a Kel-Tec Sub2k......

Re: Mac-11 Clone?
The gun probably is, but a MAC 11 clone isn't exactly meant for precise aimed fire. Typical use models probably make it more minute of 5 gallon buck.LockNLoad wrote:I wasn't really looking for or expecting a tackdriver, just accurate enough to plink with. Re: Mac-11 Clone?
It would probably work out for what your looking for I was able to keep all of the shots on a B-27 target and hit a couple clay pigeons hanging on 550 cord once I got the feel of it.I suppose it would be an ok plinker for the $. and I'm sure it would get a little better with some practice.
Re: Mac-11 Clone?
The newer Masterpiece Arms ones seem to have a fairly decent rep on quality. The older clones, Leinad, etc. from during and before the AWB tend to be junk. You'd get better accuracy with a stock and a red dot, but whether you want to spend the money on the tax stamp is up to you.
Quality mags are a major issue. The 9mm ones take Sten mags, so buy a pile of surplus mags (and a loader), and test them out. Keep the ones that work in your gun and sell the rest.

And all this time I thought that these guns were just "Spray & Pray".

I think you could hit the side of a barn with it....

You just have to ask yourself, is he telling you the truth based on knowledge and experience or spreading internet myths?

Re: Mac-11 Clone?
Ok, I had 2 of them with sionics on each for my SWAT team entry people. Granted this was in the 1980's but I don't think they have changed much and back then you could hit a 55 gal. drum with them out to 25 yards. Both weapons I had traded in by the early 1990's for other equipment. It was great to be able to have any type of class 3 weapons and not worry about permit's. I did play with a lot of stuff with 22 year's on the SWAT team.
