Foriegn Affairs Commitee takes aim

Post by totes6 »

Maybe some members of Congress are finally getting the message through their heads. CUT THE SPENDING!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_us_un_investigations
Newly empowered Republican lawmakers are taking their first shots at the United Nations, depicting it as bloated and ineffective as they seek to cut government funding for it.
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who will preside over the briefing as chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs committee, is seeking cuts and has introduced a bill intended to pressure the United Nations to change the way it operates and to make dues voluntary. She also is promising investigations into possible corruption and mismanagement.
Personally I think they just need to cut ties completely and kick the UN out of the US. We could make some money back from leasing space in that building in prime time New York.

They should look into some of those agreements Obama has signed off on that restrict our gun rights.

Hell yeah, Dump the UN and Hillary Clinton won't have a reason to hang around the states where she can hurt something. Then as a bonus they can get Harold Koh,,(Clintons hired gun) his last check and send him back to Wal Mart or Burger King,,, his choice. Lastly I bet they could make some serious $$$$ renting space for conventions... I've been to the UN and it's pretty damn big....Could hold a whole lotta shriners and their little cars

The heck with that, I like the Shriners and their little cars. I used to see them doing an all Shriners parade at VA Beach around Labor Day Weekend. I'd much rather have the Shriners hold their convention here in VA than take it to NY. :hysterical:
You just have to ask yourself, is he telling you the truth based on knowledge and experience or spreading internet myths?

With all of the BS that comes out of that building I'm not sure it could ever be considered "prime" anymore.

A guy I used to work with was a Shriner. He carried a bunch of condoms in his brief case to help little kids...wait wait wait. He would go into a bar and "perform" to solicit donations. He demonstrated for us once. He stretched the condom down over his head until the rim was just over his nose...then blew it up exhaling through nostrils. Funniest thing I ever saw. He collected buckets of money for the children's burn unit and hospital. Guy was bald which helped. :hysterical:
