Its really sad when folks who put themselves in harms way say things like this. One of my biggest problems...serving my country now since 1977 and still under oath...all for "this." I hope he's right and that institutions and people protecting our way of life and values survive...

As a former Marine and at 64 1/2 year's old I would still put on the uniform and defend this country to the death as would my 2 Marine son's. But I sure as hell would not do so for this asswipe president that is leading us into ruin.

I agree with this point of view taken by Ermey. I want to do something about this country being sold down the drain. I want to stop America, my love, from being used as a whore to the world to be used and drained and taken advantage of but atlast-----

I AM ONE MAN, WHERE ARE THE MASSES?
I believe that Jefferson, Washington, Lincoln and Roosevelt would be kicking our butts for letting the politicians do this to our country. At one time they were considered traitors. Now history calls them Patriots. It's a nice club. :clapping: :lovegunporn:

Obama's only one in a long line. To blame our current economic situation on just him is disingenuous without looking at what led up to it. We've had over 30 years of sellout leadership, from at least Ronald "Mr. Amnesty" Reagan on and probably before.

I know we served in different services but I'd be first in line to pick up a weapon stand next to you and your boys to defend our homeland. I might need to knock of a few pounds for the old uniform to fit though.

CowboyT, it goes a lot farther back, FDR started a lot of socialist programs amd LBJ did his part, I image if we put our heads together we could blame just about every elected offical in the last 100 years. To me it seems they are more interested in keeping their job hen they are doing it. I believe We need term limits. then maybe there will do whats best for the country and not what they need to do to get reelected.

Obama or Bush they are one and the same, they just go about our decline in different ways. Only two things will stop our fall into plutocracy.

1. Term Limits.
2. The Remove of money from politics.

Social security is a little different than a "socialist" entitlement give-away program. Those of us that work "donate" 6.2% every paycheck and your employer donates the same amount. Dont know about the rest of you but DK expects to get part of his money back when he starts drawing that check.

Now, for those that dont contribute and get SS payments then shame on them and even more shame on the system that allows them to do so.

For a real social entitlement program try discussing welfare and food stamps.
