Questions about Bull Run Shooting Center

Post by TonyInVa »

I am looking to buy a shotgun for skeet shooting. Does anyone know if there are any restrictions, at Bull Run Shooting Center, on what guns could be used. For example, rounds held, and barrel length.

I dont think they have any restrictions. But you might look closely at their web site, or give them a call.

If your purchasing a gun for skeet shooting you will never need more than 2 loaded at a time...same for sporting, trap, wobble trap and 5-stand.

Definitely give them a call. I am aware that they have restrictions, but don't remember the details. They definitely have a minimum barrel length requirement, which I think is 26 inches. Also, I don't believe they allow 10 gauge. Double barrel, pump, and semi-auto are all fine.

There is no magazine capacity restriction (that I'm aware of), but it's a moot point because they won't allow you to load any more than two rounds at a time. Regarding ammo, I think that shot can't be any larger than 7 1/2 bird shot.

This is all from memory, so please double-check. Bull Run is great. I definitely recommend their sporting clays course. Enjoy!
