Really they are slamming everyone who hunts. Comparing her Sarah Palin's Alaska hunting program to Michael Vicks dog fighting. How freakin' stupid can some people be ?

Hunting is fun because it is challenge. Like most hunters, I've gone out and gotten nothing more times that I've been successful. After standing/sitting still for hours you do feel excitement when you finally see a deer or other game animal you are after. After making a successful shot you do feel a sense of accomplishment.

To be fair, I've felt similar emotions after finally getting my car fixed when it was being stubborn. Humans are emotional beings and challenges like finally getting a stuck bolt out or performing a difficult task or finally getting a deer after many unsuccessful hunts or days spent without the comfort of civilization you do feel many emotions.

Just because we get frustrated at a stuck bolt or elated that we finally got a deer this season doesn't make us evil.

Progressives are deathly afraid of Palin...I think more because she's an in your face type of woman that gets conservatives fired up...and its very obvious that the twit who wrote this has never been hunting for anything in the woods except maybe magic mushrooms...moron.

Nah. I save that for the grocery store. I know where that meat comes from :shudder:

And I musta been real lucky. Only took one shot instead of five to drop that buck yesterday. I'm sure I just nicked him and he died from a heart attack...

1000...since I scored...I batted a thousand...

A nice little spike about 1:30...around 4:30 a nice big one stepped out but he was moving quick and I had to shift into a kneeling position to get the scope on him...he saw/heard me and I all I saw then was white.

Anyone see the new episode of Sara Palin's Alaska? They went camping with Kate(from Kate Plus

but before they did they went shooting. Kate was shooting for the first time and then handed her a 12G shotgun! That is the easiest way to scarce someone away from shooting. That is just plain stupid.

Well in my 51 years of hanging around doing absolutely nothing I have learned one thing...people normally dont attack something repeatedly and relentlessly trying to kill it unless they are deathly afraid of it and dont ever want to see it again...if progressives were merely amused by Palin they would have gotten tired of slamming her long ago...

I watched the program last night. It was Palins father to blame for the poor shooting. He brought the guns for the hunt and after she missed the caribou four times he passed her another rifle and said "Shoot him with this one, I sighted it in." I don't know what caliber the first rifle was but he said earlier in the program it was his varmit rifle.

I did see ear plugs in a few of them, not sure about Kate. Yeah I would definitely be putting buckshot or slugs before anything else.

Most folks use the term liberal but it doesnt fit. True liberals in the original definition of the term are more closely aligned with Libertarians. Progressives are those that we normally describe as liberals.

Progressives are most often associated with a "social" agenda...
