Their companion site, CastBoolits, is a gold (lead?) mine of knowledge. They get deep into it over there.

Richard Lee's book "Modern Reloading" is also a pretty good source for newbie casters to get started. One thing I've learned is that matching "boolit" hardness to the load's pressure can help out very nicely, especially if your boolits are dropping a thousandth small. However, the chart used in "Modern Reloading" for matching BHN to pressure is, in my experience, a bit off. BHN 15-16 should only be good for about 21,000 PSI according to those figures. However, experimentation shows that 27,000 to 30,000 PSI is more in line. The idea is correct; the numbers just need some adjusting.

I was a member of that forum for almost ten years. I know about the wealth of knowledge over there. Cast Bullets Association is also a good source. I'm over there.

Oh, that wasn't aimed at you--you've got 30 times as much experience as I do. :-) That was for other folks who might be thinking about trying casting or are just getting started.
