Fort Lee Trap and Skeet Range

If you got a good deal or great service from a shop or range and you want to brag about them, here's the place to do it. Likewise, if you are unhappy about someone's service or feel like you've been ripped off, we want to know that too!

Fort Lee Trap and Skeet Range

Post by Jakeiscrazy »

I took a trip to Fort Lee Trap and Skeet Range, let me tell you'll a little about it.

It is of course on base so you have to enter thru the visitor's entrance; bring ID(for anyone over 18), vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. Click HERE for directions. We got to the range and there was a nice fellow named Bob. None of us had ever shot trap before but he set us up showed us all we need to know. Shot about 200 rounds of 12 gauge between 5 shooters. You bring your own ammo but they provide the skeet. It came out to be $24 ($3 for 25 skeet). That is plenty reasonable IMO. So if it's you first time shooting trap and skeet, fear not. It's cheap, simple, and fun. Don't forget to bring you guns, ammo, eye protection, and ear protection. The don't have any of those for you as far as I know, so you better bring them.

Here is their website and a couple more links:
Fort Lee Trap and Skeet
Fort Lee POW Range(Rifle and Pistol)
Fort Lee Archery Range
*If any of the above links go dead please send me a PM.*

I did pretty well, the majority of my shots were hits. More importantly I had a great time and got some shotgun experience. I will definitely do it again.

Being in the ATA, I have shot Trap at Fort Lee many times. It is a great range. If the BOB you are referring to is Bob Levy, then yes, he is a great guy and avid shooter whom I've known many a year. If you liked trap, then you need to check out the Shoots and State shoot at Winchester, Va. Here's a link to the Va Trapshooting website. Join the ATA today !!
