The C2 Center

If you got a good deal or great service from a shop or range and you want to brag about them, here's the place to do it. Likewise, if you are unhappy about someone's service or feel like you've been ripped off, we want to know that too!

The C2 Center

Post by jrheault »

I did a quick search of the forum and so far haven't found any mention of The C2 Center. This is by far my favorite place to shoot in Hampton Roads. http://www.thec2center.com I highly recommend it to anyone, particularly anyone interested in shooting at 50/100/200/300 yards. I recently took a class with my spouse there for advanced concealed carry and tactical pistol shooting and it was hands down amazing. The class was with the owner of the range Kent Mote. Kent was a great instructor and took our shooting from sloppy to spot on over a 2 day period. I went from barely able to draw and hit a target to a best draw and hit at 7 yards of 1.29 seconds, and a 3 targets at 7 yards of 2.48. Definitely check this place out. Also the pro shop has some of the best prices i've found for blackhawk holsters. Ammo is also very reasonable, .33 a round for 5.56 federal in stripper clips.

I went there once about seven years ago. I wish I could go back, but that's a haul from Woodbridge.

Ya thats a haul, i drive an hour to get there but its worth it even if i just shoot hand guns. i'm fed up with Draconian range masters at indoor ranges, or most recently, getting hit with jacket fragments at Bob's.

I took a ride there in the spring to check it out & it looked excellent. What did that class for you & the wife set you back?
That class looks like something interesting to do.

The class runs about $450 i think for 2 people for 2 days. If you're experienced in tactical shooting and are already a great shot you might inquire about a different class, but as someone who had only punched paper with mediocre results it was amazing. i especially liked that he ran us through a couple of drills focused on what we would do if we were both carrying together and something went down. and one of the coolest things i learned was where to shoot at a car windshield to hit the person driving, was not at all where i thought heh.
