Got my Zeiss Bios fixed!

I had the eye piece on my Zeiss binoculars break. Zeiss has a lifetime warranty, so I sent them in. Just got the package today and instead of fixing them they sent me a whole new pair (invoice notes a new serial number and new replacement, plus the package contents is all new)! I don't know why they didn't just fix them, but I assume it probably because it would take a lot of work to do so. That would make the service time too long. In all likelihood they will fix them during "downtime" and sell them as refurbed. In any case, I thought you might want to hear about their customer service.

Zeiss equipment is very nice, but expensive. With a warranty like that though, it is worth it if you can afford it.

haha well, I read the title of this thread and I was wondering what kind of computer/techno gadget a "Zeiss" was since you clearly fixed the Basic Input/Output System in yours! LOL I'm such a dork.

Zeiss makes great stuff. I have a pair of 30 plus year old Zeiss competition shooting glasses -- still my favorites.

Yep, I've got a pair of Zeiss binos I've been using now for about 25 years....great pieces of equipment. I need to replace the eyecups but other than that they are still primo.
