Transport thru Georgia

I am traveling thru Georgia by car with my grandson from Virginia to Florida.I hold a CHP in Va.What do I need to do to transport a handgun thru Georgia without difficulty. Virginia does not have reciprocity with Georgia.Thank You.

For many years Georgia has had the law we just got in VA... you can keep a loaded, concealed gun in your car without a permit if you are legally allowed to posses the gun. I've done this in the past.

And when you get the time, take Proshooter's Utah class so you can get a permit Georgia does recognize.

shockmhd - We have a Utah permit class next week on 8/21. You may visit our website to register. Utah's permit is accepted in Georgia for carrying.
