Have you chronoed your loads? Exact same thing, but Wolf vs another "higher quality" primer? For plinking, CQB training, etc. it probably doesn't matter. I'm just curious.

As far as that goes I'm not that high tech, I have used aproximately 10,000 over the past couple years they all went bang.Have been available ( a plus in itself considering the market for components) the accuracy has been comparable and consistant with the other brands I have used. ( mostly Rem/CCI)

Yep, I just saw this over at CalGuns as well. It's true, $18/1000.

This will be my first time using Wolf primers, but I've heard they go bang just fine. And that's all that matters, far as I'm concerned. Sounds like they're just as "high quality" as the other brands.

BTW, this should give us a better idea of what the wholesale price on primers must be, if they're selling 'em for $18 per 1,000. Just sayin'....

I kick myself for not buying 10,000 last month when Federals were $100/5,000.

I've used Wolf primers in some of my precision loads, and a lot of the other guys on 6.8 Forums use them since the primers are harder than standard CCI 400s and they average another 50 fps per load in the 6.8 SPC. They are a tight fit in most brass, so if you are on your second or third load Wolf works great. At $18 per 1000, I'd get three or four boxes and spread the hazmat fee amongst them.

Bump on this. They're still on sale. Price is now $18.50 to $19. I'm really liking Wideners.

BTW, these primers work just as well as the CCI's I've been using. BANG every time.
