Be particular, and be vigilant, as the enemy will only attack on two occasions:
When you're ready or when you're not ready.

Also never forget, that everyone who shows up, is not necessarily there to help.

Congratulations.
She must have had a good teacher.

Here is a story from our local paper (The Franklin News Post) about 4-H.

Gov. Bob McDonnell attends dedication ceremony at W.E. Skelton Center at Smith Mountain Lake

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell said the new regional shooting sports complex at the W.E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center at Smith Mountain Lake can help teach safety in the shooting sports.

McDonnell said the $1.2 million complex can also help teach the lessons of the 4-H clubs program: responsibility, discipline, respect, consideration of others and other values.

McDonnell participated Wednesday in the dedication of the John G. Rocovich Jr. Regional Shooting Sports Complex at the 4-H center.

congrats to your daughter, and shame on the boys......

Its really good to know that some young girls are more interested in things like 4H, and less in celebrity dumbass, or its equivalent.

You and your wife both deserve accolades..

Females are generally better shots, with training, than males, but that is one fine grouping. Good job.

Thanks for the responses All... and for letting me share... can't wait to say
"oh, i know you can out shoot me (thats easy), but you can't out shoot HER- !"

She got a bit more noterity than she expected from her grandparents and Aunt and Uncles...as it started a family discussion on shooting and the next thing you know, my sister has broken out the target sheets from .22 match shoots from 40 years ago, ... Man o man, did my girls eyes get wide, as she has no idea that all the in the family were/are shooters... My dad was so happy about the whole thing, he had a glass of wine and went to bed  . when we got home she asked to see her .22... which is a vintage winchester single shot .22 inherited from her grandfather, for the first time, she really looked it over, asked how it came apart, and noticed the grain in the wood, she put her nose over the breech and gave a good sniff,... watching the light come on in your childs head over anything, let alone something you really care about, it is one of THE joys that you can have out of life...

she is now asking about the rifle shoots for women at Izaak Walton and if the new Loudoun high school has a rifle team...

I am just excited about being able to share one of my passions with my kids...

its great to be alive!

Very nice! Even if she does become a "girly girl" later, she be a girl that can shoot and defend herself.

My girly girl knows how to shoot and defend herself, and she knows femininity has zero to do with shot placement... :friends:
