any c&r holders in northern va?
Hi, Im brand new to the forum. I was interested in purchasing a yugo m57 pistol (tokarev copy) from southern ohio gun distributors but they told me they were strictly wholesale and would not sell to individuals. In addition, the ffl that I normally go through does not recieve transfers from them. What I was wondering was if anyone here with a c&r could/would order it for me. I've been meaning to get my own c&r for a while but I'd really like to get this pistol while its on sale. I can furnish whatever documentation necessary to demonstrate legal ownership and of course I can compensate you for your time.

While I'm not as intimately acquainted with the rules for 03FFLs as for the regular types, I do know that dealing is forbidden. I'm pretty sure having a 03 order a gun for transfer to someone else is considered dealing.
Trying to entice someone into violating the terms of their license is not usually the best way to introduce oneself to a new forum.

No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

C&R holders can sell guns, but they are forbidden to be in the business of dealing guns, as noted above. Thus, buying a gun to sell it right away would probably be considered dealing, especially since you're offering a C&R holder payment for the service.
Call Nova Armament, they had a couple in stock, last time I was up there. The price was a bit higher than SOG, but you do get to inspect the gun, before buying it. They had three, I got one of them, I am a C&R holder and bought from them anyway, because I could inspect it.
OR just get your own C&R license.

vbrtrmn, are these pistols pretty reliable? They are so cheap I was thinking of getting but know nothing about them.
