OK -
I just got the stuff in the mail and installed both items in about 5 minutes - and that's including pausing and replaying the videos on YouTube!! Couldn't be any easier and what a dramatic difference these two very simple factory mods are. I don't know why they don't all come like this from the factory.
The 3.5 pound connector now allows me to pull the trigger without having the muzzle shake just prior to breaking. It feels even smoother and I have an indication now as to when the trigger is going to break.
The extended slide lock release lever does an great job - especially considering that it is barely longer and sticks out maybe 0.5 mm further from the frame than the OE piece. Even without the magazine in, release the slide from the lockback position is now a breeze.
I 'm just waiting for my Hogue 17000 grip to arrive, then I'll play with the different Glock backstraps and the Hogue overlay (I think I'm really going to like the palm swells as that is what I feel is missing from the stock Glock grip).
Anywho, happy about these mods - not too expensive and very easily installed!

Police with Glocks have enough accidental discharges without Glock reducing the trigger pull. Some LEO are great shots and take training seriously, others just carry it as part of the job.DobeMan wrote:I don't know why they don't all come like this from the factory.

Don't you mean NEGLIGIENT DISCHARGE (rather than accidental) ?

It is never reported that way. When ever a LEO has a discharge it is reported as they did nothing wrong. This happens often when the LEO has their finger on the trigger during a stressful situation. The stress causes you body to tense up and you lose some level of fine motor skills. They swear up and down they didn't pull the trigger...the gun just went off. In actuality, they did.meadmkr wrote:Don't you mean NEGLIGIENT DISCHARGE (rather than accidental) ?

To be fair, this would happen with civilians too, but since you have to wait until you are justified in shooting the threat any ways, it doesn't. It happens with LE because they use their guns to take control of a situation before they are justified in shooting you.

I saw a video on youtube where police were arresting a perp, they had him on the ground, officer on his back handcuffing him while about three cops were holding guns on him and the female cops glock discharged missing his head by about an inch. They all looked around like sh*t I hope nobody saw that.
Good parts by the way. Its "almost" a foregone conclusion with new shooters that you will buy just about every part you can replace on a glock and then realize what am I doing this is a glock. Stick with what you have now and save some money.

I agree with the singular exception of the 3.5lbs trigger bar. It still feels like a Glock trigger (which isn't good), but it is much better. I love my Glocks for what they are, reasonably priced and reliable CC guns.mut617 wrote:Good parts by the way. I didn't like my Glocks trigger either and went with a 3.5 connector and a 8lb NY trigger spring, Feels much better to me now.,
