Obama's Blueprint

Post by zephyp »

Some of you might have heard about the book titled "The Blueprint: Obama's Plan to Subvert the Constitution and Build an Imperial Presidency" written by Ken Blackwell. Fox posted an excerpt several pages long and its worth a quick glance. If you dont read the whole thing at least read the first 2 pages. They echo concerns many of us are voicing...this from the bottom of page 2...

"To keep the Obama plan moving forward in the face of certain opposition, the president’s blueprint calls for changing the way democracy works in this country so that he and his supporters can continue holding on to their offices and their power."

Chilling to say the least...

Wasn't Bush supposed to be doing the same thing? And Clinton too, I think.

Yep, they were.

As Lord Acton said, "power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

So, what are we going to DO about it? Vote out the Democrat crooks only to vote back in the Republican crooks?

I'm not a big fan of Bush but obama is alot farther left than Bush was right. The fact is that they are indeed stacking the deck to stay in power. My guess is once that is done they will proceed with plans that will make even some liberal heads explode.

And I agree with Cowboy. We seem to be caught in a cycle of trading one set of thieves for another...not sure what to do about that. Maybe we need our own blueprint...

They're two sides of the same coin. Or different directions on the ratchet. It may go back and forth, but the ultimate direction is always the same.

The loony left said the same thing about Bush. I don't think it has to do with keeping Obama in power - he's a disposable figurehead and an empty suit - but keeping the powers behind the throne in charge is what's going on, and that's been happening for a lot longer than Obama's been in office.

So, here's the sad fact: the folks running the country should be us. No, I am not being a jack-ass. As a group we are pretty moderate but definitly Patriotic. We are also WAY too smart to ever run for public office. Therein lies the problem.

Touchdown Rich....we the people are indeed supposed to be running the country but we have failed miserably in those duties...our first big chance came when congress instituted the Federal Reserve Act...the next was income taxes...both should have sent hordes to DC with pitchforks and torches...now it may be too late for that...and not particularly because the government would frown upon that...IMHO more citizens than government would be frowning and saying that would be far too radical and we are civilized...use the democratic process and hope for change during the next election... Change is our only constant but as Diomed said above it always seems to move in the same direction...following the same course set by the Federal Reserve Act and income taxes

That ended long before any person alive today was born.

Some days I wonder if it was ever true at all.

Clean House and get rid of all the folks and put in new blood!

Here in Virginia we really need to clean both the House and Senate at the Federal and State level!

I know it sounds good, but not probable. I do not trust the Republicans or the Democrats to act in my best interest. SO, What is left for us to do? I am not sure that I have an answer for that question that has not been stated in the above post, But something has to be done.
