Recent incidents involving guns
Binghamton, Pittsburgh, Washington state incidents are very disturbing; I expect the anti-gun groups to use them as their rallying cry and justification for more gun controls. ABC News 20/20 is coming up with a special this Friday titled, "If I only Had a Gun." We have work to do, guys.

He had a permit that was originally issued over 10 years ago. In the meantime he moved to CA and then back to NY as I understand it. I wonder what the validity was of his permit at that time. If he moved out of the state was his permit invalidated at that time because he was no longer a resident? If that is the case then shouldn't he have gotten another permit when he returned to NY? I tried to decipher their laws but it looks like you need a lawyer to do that.
My point it that if he had a resident permit and changed his residency to another state wouldn't the permit then be invalid and if so what difference does it make that he had possessed a permit in the past? He didn't possess a valid permit at the time and quite possibly possessed the guns illegally. They won't tell us that though.
