Starbucks stands their ground... + a poll

Post by FordTek »

I'm sure most of you are aware that Starbucks has made news lately because of their policy of allowing open carry in their stores. The Brady Campaign has launched a serious campaign to try to get them to change this policy, but StarBucks has stood their ground.

From the article:
At the same time, the company asked members of the "open carry" gun movement and their opponents to refrain from putting Starbucks in the firing line of the national debate over the right to bear arms.
I can understand that. It's a business. IOW: No waves

I'll have a mocha glockachino .... please.

What we need to do is a Starbucks appreciation day. Everyone carry and go to Starbucks one day to buy something.

You can - just ask for a small, medium or large coffee and tell them if you want to leave room for cream. They'll translate it into BuckSpeak and hand you a Tall/Vente/Grande Cafe Amreicano and off you'll go. Their joe is always fresh as they dump the carafe every hour & make new.

The problem I have is finding a S'Bucks that is still OPEN. They are closing down around here like crazy including the stores they had in the grocery stores.

I just really saw the "logo" in the OP........ :hysterical:

Problem is that an Americano (watered down espresso) and black coffee aren't the same thing.
Most people can't tell the difference, but when you're wife is a coffee snob who worked as a barista for a while and won't look at a Starbucks you learn alot of stuff. However, I would sooner go to Sheetz/Wawa for a coffee than Starbucks because they suck but oh, well.

Yep, give me strong black coffee. No sugar, cream, or anything else. Well, I do drop an ice cube or two in there so I can gulp it without a burn...
