Howdy, all.
Thanks, Rick. This has got to be time consuming for you and I appreciate the effort.
I've been out of the loop since the mid 90's, so forgive me for being a bit rusty. The last forum I belonged to was hosted on the Lafayette Gun Club dial up BBS. The November election made me realize that a lot of us had become complacent, esp. me. Don't know if any of y'all are politically active, but I hope some of you can help me ease back into the grassroots stuff.
In my experience, a politician who is right on guns is usually right on most of the other stuff, too.
Regards from Chesapeake,
George

Re: Howdy from Chesapeake
Hi George. Welcome aboard
It's my pleasure running this place, and like you, the results of the election prodded me in the direction of trying to figure out what I can do to help out the grass roots efforts to keep the 2nd amendment alive, so I started this forum about a month ago when I searched and couldn't find enough Virginia-specific firearms info. It seems that we have found a good niche to fill and I hope new members continue to join the forum and contribute their thoughts.
The first step to getting involved in the grass roots effort in Virginia is to join VCDL. They require a modest $25.00 yearly fee and they do a lot for gun-owners' rights on the state and local levels. You can view some of their informative emails (VA-ALERTS) in the Virginia and National Politics forum
Be sure to also check out the calendar and invite your friends to some of the events!
Again, welcome aboard.
