It was a nasty day here yesterday there was a light rain and it was chilly, couldn't work outside, so my neighbor, a farmer down the road from me and I decided to go fishing. We went up to the Blue Ridge Parkway from Bedford to the Peaks of Otter , the whole parkway was fogged in tight, you couldn't see more than a few feet in front of the truck.
There where deer all over the road so I had to crawl along real slow, just before I got to the turn off for Jennings creek we came upon a huge flock of turkey, there were two big gobblers that I could see, and many hens, too many to count in that thick fog. We thought we might see a bear or two but no such luck, I have seen bear in that area before.
We fished Jennings and North creek and did manage to catch a few trout all small, about 10 or 11 inches, nothing to brag about, but it was a good day. Seeing all that game made it worth while.

That's a great story, and a lot more fun than what I did yesterday. I was mowing the lawn and cleaning weeds out of the floor beds

Re: Fishing and Fog
Sounds like a good day, for sure. I ended up going to Maryland to Boater's World in Waldorf (they're going out of business). I was hoping for some good deals - ended up buying a new VHF antenna for the boat and a couple of other odds and ends. Went home, worked on the boat for awhile and had a couple of drinks. Turned out to be a decent day

Even a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work. Sounds like you had fun .
