The restaurant ban (and the other two bills) now has two final hurdles
before becoming law, barring anything unusual from happening:
1. A vote on the House Floor on the, hopefully, UNCHANGED bill. This
SHOULD pass easily, as a similar bill (HB 505) was passed a couple of
weeks ago.
2. The Governor signing the bill. Based on the Governor's public
position on the restaurant ban repeal, this should not be a problem.
I expect the bill will be on his desk this time next week. How
quickly the bill gets signed, there is no way of knowing - it could be
a few days or a few weeks. Either way it doesn't matter since the
bill won't become effective until July 1 anyhow.
