Post by Username »

Kimber tactical custom 2 w/2 galco holsters,2 kimber tac mags, spring upgrade, and Kimber custom shop carbon fiber grip set
Someone wants to trade me this for a gun I have, the guns worth about $1100.

I know nothing about Kimber's but you guys seem to love them so I thought I'd ask your opinion.

I'd say the Kimber is worth less than $1100, but you can look at what they are selling for and decide for yourself.

I wasn't concerned about the value as the performance, I determined the value was a bit unequal looking around myself but wanted to know what you guys thought of the gun itself.

The Tactical II is a close cousin to my Pro Carry II, except that it has a light rail.

I'm crazy about my two Kimber 1911's and I bet you'll be crazy about this one too.

A brand new Kimber Custom II will run you about $800 depending on where you buy it. They are great shooters. I just traded one (not because I didnt like it). Never had an FTF or FTE and it ate every thing I fed it. Good shooter and comfortable to the hand.
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

i loved mine but the finish was terrible. it was a ultra tactical II. i currently own a custom covert and the finish seems a little better.

i only recommend stainless kimbers

I am new to 1911s, but recently (in the last year) picked up a Custom Classic Target and a Tactical Ultra II. They are both fantastic shooters. No problems with either one.

Im a fan of my Custom II, I only have about 300 rounds through it while its been in my ownership, but it shoots better than I, and puts the bullets where they need to be, every time. No problems so far. The only thing I don't like is the finish seems to be a bit weak. I was carefully putting the slide stop in and scratched the "durable" finish very easily. Other than that, its a gem.
