I know this sounds bad, but i have never been to a gun show and i have alot of questions about my new 1911i would like to ask. Am i allowed to bring my gun to this show? and ask a few things about it?

You can bring your gun, but don't take the magazine in with you. There will be guys at the door who will want to verify that your weapon is clear and they will open the slide and put a zip-tie through it. After that, just carry normally. You can take it out to ask questions at a booth. By the rules, if the zip-tie is removed for some reason (i.e., you want to ask about how to take it apart or something) the owner of the booth should replace the zip-tie after the demonstration.

So I cant even take an empty mag in?

If you empty your magazine, you should be able to take it in...just don't carry any rounds in your pocket.
