Applying for CHP in Fairfax County (by mail?)

Post by TurkeyShoot »

Hi everyone,

This might be a dumb question, but can you apply for a CHP by mail or does it have to be in person? Has anyone here successfully done this in Fairfax County? The instructions on the application are not clear and I'd have to take a day off work to go down there.

Thanks in advance.

.. did mine in person; and most here who have used the FFxCntyCourt have had positive experiences. Parking is about 1/4 mile from CH, and dropping off the application takes about as long as it would take for you to walk to/from CH. From start to finish (application, not actually recieving the CHP) took me about an hour - the most time for me was that the CH's payment system (credit/debit card) was down and I had to go back downstairs to use the ATM; otherwise unless you have a travel issue to/from the CH from home or job; it doesn't take that long in person. Plus the staff there is very professional and on-point.
