CMP Rimfire Sporter Match Charlottesville, VA 8/26

Rivanna Rifle & Pistol Club will host a CMP Rimfire Sporter match in Charlottesville on Saturday, 8/26. Rimfire Sporter is a fast-growing contest, sanctioned by CMP with a national championship, for .22LR rifles. The rules are designed to keep competitors' costs low and the match informal. I'd seriously like to check this out. The only .22LR I have currently is my pops old Winchester 69A. It doesn't have a sling and I have no idea if it's over the 7.5# weight limit.

I think it'd be an absolute blast to go and just shoot a gun/scope from the 30'-40's at an informal comp.
