Repeal Obamacare

Post by ShotgunBlast »

"If we're going to repeal Obamacare, we need to get control of the House." Republicans get control of the House.

"We can vote 50 times to repeal Obamacare, but it won't get anywhere until we get control of the Senate." Republicans get control of the Senate.

"There's no way Obama will sign our bill to repeal Obamacare we need to get control of the White House." Republicans get control of the White House.

Why in the world are both the House bill and Senate bill just Obamacare-lite and not actually repealing Obamacare?

I'm in my mid-30s and I've had quality health insurance with reasonable premiums and deductions for all of my working life until it became "affordable". As a self-employed person with a household income that doesn't qualify for subsidies, I'm finally now getting health insurance again and that's only because my wife's job is transitioning and she now qualifies for better health insurance for both her and her spouse. If that didn't happen, how much longer would I be going under a GOP administration with no insurance, hoping I don't get into an accident or break a bone?

Unfortunately, Obamacare is here to stay everyone, and Republican voters should feel conned that their representatives ran on "Obamacare repeal" to get elected for the last eight years and instead delivered "Obamacare lite".

Everyone keeps blaming Trump. But the reality is those with issues are still suffering from what Obama has done in the past 8 years. No on has let Trump put any of his ideas into effect to improve this country so the Obama environment continues to exist. Horrible!!
