I hope it goes through. It is totally confusing how they justify the crazy laws. Either you are a trusted member of society and can carry a gun, or you are not. How/where you carry is totally not relevant.

I've been in Texas all day; Dallas, Austin, Ft. Worth, Houston. Justification of guns laws isn't the only craziness around here.

Oddly, the largest "no firearms" sign I have ever seen, is at the brand new Pilot truck stop at exit 36 off of I40, in between Amarillo and the New Mexico border. They were not content with a little sticker on the door; they have a massive and wordy sign that takes up a whole window. Inside, you can buy an assortment of pro-2A hats, t-shirts, and (I think) bumper stickers. I told the manager that her sign was the reason that I wouldn't be back. Not that she cared; they're busy every time that I pass by.

That was probably the standard 30.06 and 30.07 signage that is required by Texas state law if you wish to prohibit concealed and open carry in your establishment.
1" lettering, minimum sign size is quite large, very specific language in two languages.

The Texas legislature tried to make it as onerous as possible (and please the anti-gunners) for business owners to prohibit their customers from being able to defend themselves.
