That was odd, right? The bullet was long gone, but in the gel block, there was what looked like a small fireball and all that has blew out. Like it has some bad queso.

Wonder if that had anything to do with the compression of the air pocket the bullet caused? The small explosion may have been some volatile gasses/compounds from the bullet, or even from the gelatin. Wonder what the distance from muzzle to gelatin was? So many questions!

I would hazard a guess that the gelatin is dieseling when the cavity collapsed. There's definitely some combustion going on there. This might help some...
