A nice 12 point that went 230 lbs. and gutted out to 175 lbs. The neck roast alone went 20 lbs. He came in off of my left side at the edge of the wood's running, I droped my book and picked up the trusty Browning A-Bolt .270 and shot at him at about 220 yards. He didn't even flinch. I got down from the second story of the hay loft and looked for blood and could not find any. It started to get dark so I went home and went back this A.M. when the wife went to church. Took about 1 1/2 hour's and I found him, still no blood but the slug stayed with him and expanded to 47 cal.
I thought I had missed. NOT
