CABOT "JONES" 1911
One of the nicer 1911s I've ever held (not to mention the most expensive).

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

Like the saying goes, if you have to ask you can't afford it.
So there's no point in me asking.

Damn dorm , That is Sweet ! I love the graphic's on both sides and the STARS . The grips are pretty fine too . I saw one about 18 months ago that a friend of mine showed up with. It belongs to his brother. It was called an "American Joe " . I was told he paid over 7 K for it. He also took over a year to get. They are very nice but, at this point in my life......a little out of my league!

"Set". That's what happens when you reuse the ribbon.

I suspect it will more likely be a Colombian or Mexican drug lord than a true gun nut.dorminWS wrote: I just realized what you were talking about. If the sell THAT set at the asking price, we will know fer sure there is one sho' 'nuff GUN NUT in the world.

Not a fan. Don't like the billboard on the slide or the flashy trigger. I know they are supposedly built with the closest tolerances on the finest machinery but the two I held didn't impress me with their fit or smoothness. Seem more like "designer guns". If your going to spend that kind of money, you'd be better off going with one of the tried-and-true master craftsman such as CT Brian or Ted Yost.

The sets sold by Cabot are righty and mirror image true to life lefty. All ejected brass stays out of field of vision. To me? Impressive.
