I have the opportunity to pick up a Kimber Tactical Custom II for about $750 used...
Would you buy it?
Love the Two-tone guns. Always thought that was kinda hot.

If I had the $750, sure. Why not.

Any ammo or accessories come with it? How many magazines?
Yeah, I'd probably buy it if it shot well and showed no obvious defects.

I too really like the two tone pistols. Kimber does make some of the best l've seen. I have never owned any of the Kimbers , but have shot many. My brother in law has about 30 Kimbers and I have to say they all look like a piece of jewelry. I would think $750 for a used Kimber is a pretty fair deal if it is in nice condition. Any accessories included would just sweeten the deal.

Sounds like a good deal to me if it's in decent shape and has no firing issues. MSRP on that bad boy is $1,317.

yeah, it's just an older model, and what makes it best? Broken in, and still tighter than 80% of the "new guns" I see being put out...
Thinking at the VERY least, Lay-away, with a couple trade ins.

I would love to buy a truckload of Kimbers for what they are actually worth then resale them for what Kimber thinks they are worth.
I could retire.
Wait, I am retired.
I could afford to buy that Cessna I've always wanted.

Exactly! Kimber (old) ain't Kimber (new).
That's why I went with the old Kimber. I wouldn't buy a new one. And from what every horror story I have been hearing? Their customer service is HORRIBLE!
Like ABUSIVE, not even rude.
(shrug) In a flooded market, you better bring your A-game, and Kimber has been resting on their laurels for awhile.

Re: Kimber Tactical Custom II, Would you buy it?
I got to shoot several Kimbers Saturday . 3 were made 1982 and 1 was made in 1986 . I have to say they all shot perfectly and all looked like they have been shooters and not Safe Queens . We also shot a newer Kimber made '12 ...Not only did it shoot great but , it was beautiful as well. The $2300.00 price tag was a little much for my taste and really doesn't quite seem like the best bang for the buck. We shot most all afternoon , many many rds. went down range. I have to say my $800/ Taurus , my $600/ RIA and Mikes $750/Ruger shot round for round with the more$$$$ Kimbers. I do really like the older Kimbers and would jump all over one in great condition at a fair price.

You can't beat an older Kimber. However, the new ones are garbage. Personal experience speaking.
