Up and running on a new host - let me know of issues!

After more than 10 years operating on my hosting provider, I have decided to move on due to their Virtual Private Server (VPS) pricing. We're now hosted on a new VPS on a different provider. VGOF was the last of my domains to get moved over. I've been working on this shift all week. It was good to have other domains to work on, because it really helped work out the kinks after copying over 40GB of data and getting the web server up and running.

So, here we are - a new era

Thanks to all who visit and participate in the forum, and especially to those who provide support.

Let meknow if you see any problems with the new setup so I can address them!

I just got an error saying that the max number of permitted connections had been exceeded.

Currently there are 53 users on line connected to the forum.
It might have been more a few minutes ago.

^^^ That isn't likely what the error message is referring too. It is connections to the Server Console (limit 2), not the forum server. It sounds more like a local time-out issue (left you thinking you are still logged in, but were not) - just my guess.

Google the error message - lots of discussions.

If you see that error again, it wold be helpful to have the exact wording. This may have been a MySQL error, and may require some attention in the form of adjustments to settings.

Will do. The error screen disappeared quickly and I didn't realize that I should have done a screen capture until it was too late.
