Video - Recapture of "El Chapo" - Operation Black Swan

Post by MarcSpaz »

Full video of the recapture of "El Chapo".

This is not gory, but it is a 15 minute battle between the police and the cartel, with machine guns and grenades. You will see one police officer got shot at the start of the battle and 9 bad guys get killed.

that seemed like a really disorganized operation.

No doubt. The team lead was constantly coordinating their movement. They really didn't know what to do. I even heard the team leader calling one of the guys a chicken because he wouldn't push forward. He said, "Come on! Hurry up! Don't be chicken!"

Fear and lack of training can be a bad combo in those situations. I'm shocked only one officer got shot. There is a huge shortage of men willing to do the right thing. I'm glad they made the effort and none of the good guys died.

I'm assuming that if they suspected chapo, and his cartel was hiding there, they didn't go grab a bunch of random patrol guys, but grabbed a trained tactical unit. That should have had some amount of training time together. But it sure didn't appear that way.

What did you expect from Mexico? If their government were any good, the people wouldn't be risking their lives to get out of the country.
