VCDL’s Gun Bill Analysis document is ready for you to view/study. We will have copies already printed to go to the legislators. They will be delivered by the teams on Lobby Day.

Bills we will be pushing on Lobby Day (patrons with an “*” by their names put the bill in for VCDL):

* Full recognition of all permits: HB 12 (Ware*), SB 610 (Reeves), SB 616 (Chase*), HB 1163 (Webert)

* Constitutional Carry: SB 48 (Black), HB 443 (Campbell)

* No second ID for buying a gun: HB 206 (Webert), HB 273 (LaRock*)

* Improve brandishing law: HB 560 (Lingamfelter*)

* Gives FFLs standing to sue localities which illegally destroy guns from a buy-up: HB 563 (Lingamfelter*)

Here’s the break down of the bills by number introduced in each category. The antis had lots of duplicate, triplicate, and even quadruplicate bills, as usual. There is some duplication of pro-gun bills, but not to the same degree:

Strongly Oppose: 45

Oppose: 9

Neutral: 9
